Three brothers: Gerrit, Henk and Jan Mauritz started a tree nursery called "Combinatie Mauritz" in Opheusden in 1972. Over the years, this nursery expanded into an area of 125 hectares. Combinatie Mauritz is now a leading company in one of the greatest tree nursery centres of Europe, because of its expert knowledge and corporate scale. Combinatie Mauritz works with a young team of 30 enthusiast employees who guarantee optimal quality, good service and, of great importance nowadays, quick delivery at the right moment, anywhere in Europe.

Each year Combinatie Mauritz plant 100.000 rootstocks, which are delivered as 2x transplanted trees sized from 6/8 to 12/14 cm girth. Apart from this Combinatie Mauritz also plant 50.000 young trees, which Combinatie Mauritz grow as 3x transplanted tree sized from 12/14 to 25/30 cm girth. (Consult our Catalogue). Seventy percent of the standard trees are exported to approximately twelve countries in Europe, e.g. Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, Poland, Scandinavia, France, Italy, Austria, Ireland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Russia.

Here you see the rear of our new shed, where the (bare-rooted) trees are sorted, bundled and loaded. In front of the shed is a large asphalt area where the trees with rootballs are placed. From here they are loaded into trailers and subsequently transported to their destination in various European countries.

Behind the office, the nursery starts with a field of trees of approximately 28 hectares. Asphalt roads largely divide the cultivation centres of Combinatie Mauritz. To enable efficient transport.
